LifeMotion Physical Therapy and Balance Center is seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in Cumberland, Virginia. This full-time position focuses on providing high-quality, patient-centered rehabilitation for individuals recovering from musculoskeletal injuries and surgeries. Work Environment

Our facility is designed to provide the best in rehabilitation care, equipped with state-of-the-art therapeutic tools and resources. As an onsite therapist, you will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, nurses, and medical professionals, to ensure comprehensive care tailored to each patient's journey. Our weekdays are structured Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing a stable work schedule for our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth physical assessments and evaluations for patients, identifying their unique needs and rehabilitation goals.
• Create individualized treatment plans that utilize evidence-based practices, aligning with the latest advancements in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Implement various therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and advanced rehabilitation technologies to facilitate optimal recovery.
• Educate patients and their families, empowering them to understand their treatment plans and encouraging active participation in the recovery process.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, maintaining open communication to deliver integrated care that leads to successful outcomes.
• Maintain meticulous and accurate patient records, documenting evaluations, progress notes, and treatment modifications as needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse population of patients, including athletes recovering from sports injuries, older adults managing chronic conditions, and post-operative patients striving to return to their daily activities. You will play a vital role in restoring their mobility, strength, and independence through tailored therapeutic interventions and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program is required.
• Current licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.
• Strong understanding of orthopedic rehabilitation principles and excellent communication skills.
• A genuine passion for delivering outstanding patient care and a collaborative attitude.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in an orthopedic clinical setting is preferred, although motivated new graduates eager to grow are encouraged to apply.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with evidence-based practices in rehabilitation.
