VDI/Images Systems Administrator

Overview We are seeking a VDI/Images Systems Administrator to monitor, maintain, operate, and troubleshoot daily remote access technologies. The primary duty involves managing all administration tools in the Citrix environment. Responsibilities Provide support for Citrix infrastructure. Check, control servers, and offer solutions for server issues. Support and preserve the institution’s Virtual Desktop setup, including AppSense, XenDesktop, XenApp, and other platforms. Assist in organizing and managing business applications. Determine increases in cases received by the IT Helpdesk. Improve and adjust the Virtual Desktop system. Design and implement platform security. Participate in upgrading and updating system applications. Strengthen applications, Windows Server, and the primary operating system. Provide technical assistance for all servers, desktops, and business services. Take full control and accountability for applying, implementing, maintaining, and documenting the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure. Handle helpdesk calls and classify cases by priority. Required Qualifications Active TS/SCI +CI Polyclearance. BS, 5-7 years of relevant experience; MS, 3-5 years; PhD, 0-2. DoD 8570 / CS-NET-451 certification (CASP+/SecurityX, CISSP, GCED, CISA) required. Proficiency in ITIL and other IT operations frameworks. STIG implementation experience. RMF knowledge. ACAS or Nessus familiarity. Desired Qualifications Citrix Certified Associate – Virtualization (CCA‑V). Citrix Certified Professional – Virtualization (CCP‑V). Citrix Certified Expert – Virtualization (CCE‑V). Microsoft Certified – Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate. Azure Administrator (AZ‑104). Windows Server certification and VMware VCP (if hybrid). Azure Virtual Desktop certification (if cloud VDI). Nutanix certification. Proficiency in ITIL 4 Foundation and other IT operation frameworks. Work Environment and Physical Demands Location: Annapolis Junction, MD or Denver, CO. Environment type: Varies. Noise level: Low. Work schedule: Non‑standard shift. Travel: 20%. The range is an estimate and will be determined based on factors including education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and contract parameters.
