Dean of Students

The Dean of Students serves as a member of the school's administrative leadership team, supporting a safe, positive, and productive learning environment for all students. Working collaboratively with the Principal, Assistant Principal, staff, students, families, and community partners, the Dean of Students helps implement behavior, safety, and social-emotional supports while promoting student success and school connectedness. This position provides leadership in student behavior interventions, school climate initiatives, supervision, safety planning, and professional development. Works as a member of the administrative leadership team to support instructional and student services by working directly with students and staff in a supportive role to ensure a positive learning environment for all Works with the Principal and Assistant Principal in carrying out the school’s behavior, safety and social/emotional programs Assists in creating a positive school environment conducive to teaching and learning Assists with discipline and behavior intervention and student supervision based on a tiered system of intervention Assists with and lead professional development as it relates to assigned duties Manages building safety and emergency response program including required safety drills Assists with supervision of lunch, recess, passing times, bus and parent drop off/pickup, before and after school and extracurricular activities Promotes connections between school, community, and other stakeholders Performs other related duties as assigned #J-18808-Ljbffr
