Cloud Data Architect

To support an enterprise cloud-based data and analytics platform for a federal health agency, the full-time Cloud Data Architect will establish and manage platform architecture, security baselines, and interoperability standards while working fully remote. Key responsibilities Establish and operate documented rules around security, compliance, and data handling for platform teams Create and maintain the enterprise reference architecture and policies, ensuring clear guardrails for data management Run Architecture Review Boards and maintain documentation for decisions and exceptions related to enterprise architecture Required qualifications Expertise in Azure Government and Azure Commercial environments, including familiarity with Databricks Demonstrated experience in managing and documenting technical architecture and compliance strategies Ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust (Tier 2 / Moderate Risk) background investigation Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and reside within the continental U.S Experience with production system monitoring and participation in a 24/7 on-call escalation process
