Property Claims Examiner (Trainee)

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve insurance claims accurately and efficiently via phone, including determining coverage, cause of loss, and documenting activity.
• Analyze and resolve coverage issues per Company protocol, conducting thorough policy reviews. Negotiate settlements of limited monetary value with policyholders under supervision.
• Develop and execute detailed investigative plans (e.g., scene investigation, statements, official reports) to identify damages, liable parties, and potential fraud.
• Conduct thorough damage development, leading to timely and adequate evaluations (e.g., appraisals, estimates, records review). Develop repair/replacement methods, verify ownership, and apply policy limitations.
• Establish voice-to-voice communication within 24 hours and maintain effective Customer communication throughout the claim process.
• Negotiate claim settlements of limited monetary value with policyholders under supervisor authority.
• Maintain company reputation and compliance by adhering to federal and state regulations, Company protocol, and service standards. Stay current on industry trends and regulations.
