Prepare design computations including heating and cooling loads, ventilation, etc. Assist in the preparation of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, and permits for projects. Provide technical support to other staff in their area of expertise. Work with other disciplines and project managers as needed to complete project deadlines. Perform drafting on a regular basis to produce construction drawings as needed.Review contractor submittals, respond to questions from contractors, and perform visits as needed. Understands terminology and other concepts related to engineering and construction practices. Responsible for job-specific quality system tasks as defined in the Project Management Manual. Walkthrough and document conditions in existing buildings to prepare for the design of renovations or draft building assessment reports.Assist in the review of contractor submittals and respond to contractor questions during construction. Provide quality control review of peers designs.Education:Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Licensure/Certification/Registration:EIT (Engineer in Training), preferred. Work Experience/Qualifications:2+ years of experience required.Revit experience required.InDesign experience preferred.Possess strong organizational and communication skills. Self-motivated and able to work alone or with a team. Ability to meet deadlines. Work Environment:Typical office environment with some work performed outside on a project site. May be exposed to extreme temperatures.
