Medical Records Director

Job Summary

The Vestal Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Records Director to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Medical Records Director, you will be responsible for leading our medical records team in ensuring the accurate and efficient maintenance of patient records. Responsibilities

Lead a team of medical records staff to ensure accurate and timely completion of medical records
Develop and implement policies and procedures related to medical records management
Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and complete documentation of patient care
Conduct quality control audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and departmental policies
Develop and maintain medical records databases and reports
Participate in continuing education and training to stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices

Requirements

2 years of experience as a Medical Records Director or equivalent
Strong leadership and management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
Familiarity with medical records software and electronic health records (EHRs)
