Help

  • Oversees procurement, contracting, and financial monitoring to maximize cost-effectiveness.
  • Formulating and executing the command's multi-million dollar annual operating and capital budgets.
  • Formulates effective strategies consistent with the mission and priorities of the organization.
  • Examines policy issues and strategic planning with a long-term perspective, anticipating potential opportunities and threats.
  • Forging deep strategic alliances with Army Sustainment Command (ASC), Army Material Command (AMC), naval commands, and localized defense supply activities.
  • Develops networks, builds alliances, and collaborates across boundaries to establish strategic relationships and achieve common goals.
  • Serves as financial and management representative of the command to visiting officials and groups from higher headquarters in relation to the management of financial and manpower resources.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes serving as a principal advisor to senior leadership on a wide range of administrative and management functions, such as resource management, human resources, logistics, and operations. Developing, coordinating, and implementing strategic plans, organizational policies, and long-range objectives for a complex organization. Exercising supervisory responsibilities, including planning and assigning work, setting priorities, evaluating performance, and managing subordinate staff. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-03/GS-13).

  • This position is under the Acquisition Demonstration Project. The NH-04 broadband incorporates former (GS equivalents) GS-14 step 1 through GS-15 step 10 grade levels and salary levels.
