Payroll Accountant

Vaco is hiring a Payroll Accountant near the Wilmington, OH area .
This is all onsite - direct hire opportunity. Salary: Up to $80K

Process payroll accurately and prepare/post payroll journal entries into Oracle General Ledger.
Perform general ledger reconciliations, account analysis, and month-end accruals for multiple entities.
Reconcile payroll taxes and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Analyze payroll data, investigate discrepancies, and resolve accounting and payroll-related issues.
Maintain payroll system data and generate payroll, tax, and financial reports.
Respond to internal and external requests for payroll and accounting information in a timely manner.
Support month-end and year-end close activities by preparing payroll-related reconciliations and documentation.
Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze payroll data, create reports, and improve reporting efficiency.
Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, and HR teams to ensure accurate payroll processing and financial reporting.
Maintain accuracy and confidentiality while processing payroll and supporting accounting operations.
