Registered Nurse – ICU (Intensive Care Unit)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | Day/Night Rotating 8- and 12-hour shifts, occasional 4-hour shifts | Every other weekend and every other holiday required | No call required

Key Responsibilities

• Manage 1–2 critically ill patients across varying patient populations including neuro, cardiac, cardiothoracic surgery, trauma, medical, and surgical ICU patients
• Administer and titrate vasopressors, sedatives, analgesics, inotropics, antiarrhythmics, and other titratable drips
• Assist with bedside procedures including RSI, EVD placement, tracheostomy, and central line placement
• Operate and monitor specialized equipment including IABP, EVD, Impella, and Phillips Patient Monitoring Systems
• Document accurately using Epic EMR and utilize Omnicell Automated Dispensing Cabinets and Aleris IV pumps
• Float to critical care departments and med/surg units as needed, with patient ratios up to 4:1 in intermediate care settings

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of ICU RN experience in a large hospital (250+ beds)
• Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center experience required
• Demonstrated experience titrating vasopressor drips (must be reflected on resume or skills checklist)
• Proficiency with Epic EMR charting
• Active RN license in North Dakota or a compact state
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association only); NIHSS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with advanced hemodynamic monitoring and support devices such as IABP and Impella
• Familiarity with AvaSure patient monitoring and MOOG feeding pump systems
• Experience floating across multiple critical care units within a large health system
