End-to-End Space Systems Engineers (Experienced, Lead or Senior)

Job Title End‑To‑End Space Systems Engineer (Experienced, Lead or Senior) – Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), Space Mission Systems (SMS) Division, El Segundo, California. Responsibilities Manage Space Segment External Interfaces, including development of ICDs as required by contract. Perform system requirements and verification planning and execution. Maintain the requirements traceability and VCRM for system level requirements. Develop and model Space Segment Intersegment CONOPS. Develop and maintain System Design Documents (SDDs). Utilize Model Based Systems Engineering processes and tools to develop and maintain the System Architecture Model. Perform system trade studies and system level analyses. Develop Intersegment Test Plans, including requirements for demonstrations and test beds. Support execution of System Operational test and evaluation activities. Verify system level requirements and participate in sell‑off activities. Basic Qualifications (Required) Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance; US citizenship required. Interim and/or final US Secret Clearance post‑start required. Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or non‑US equivalent directly related to the work statement. 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. 3+ years of experience in systems engineering processes and tools. 3+ years of experience in system design, development, or test. Experience with model‑derived CONOPS requirements development, interface control documentation, technical specification review, and architecture development. Preferred Qualifications (Desired) Lead, Level4: 9+ years of related work experience. Senior, Level5: 14+ years of related work experience. 3+ years of experience within the aerospace, defense, or similar high‑tech industry. Experience interfacing with customers, program office, and across interdisciplinary teams. Experience leading technical teams or projects. Experience with integration of Space, Ground, and User Terminal CONOPS. Additional Requirements Education/Experience levels: Level3, 4, and 5 with typical years of experience; ABET accreditation of the degree program is preferred. Candidates must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, defined as a “U.S. Person” under 22C.F.R. §120.62. Relocation This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
