Job Description
Austin Heart would like to recruit an advanced practice provider to join the largest cardiology group in Central Texas, in Harker Heights, TX.

Qualified Candidates:
• Board certified ACNP, FNP or PA
• Licensed in the state of Texas or ability to obtain
• Practicing at the Harker Heights office with two interventional cardiologists and one non-invasive cardiologist; may include outreach locations such as Lampasas, TX
• Call requirements: 12 weekends per year
• Office hours: Mon-Thurs 8-5, Friday 8-4:30
• Start date: ASAP
• Licensed in the state of Texas
• The APP is responsible for obtaining patient histories and performing examinations, ordering testing and developing a treatment plan, monitoring the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions, and providing patient education under the direction/supervision of the supervising cardiologist
• The candidate should have a strong background in EHR as well as possess high-level organizational and communication skills

Unit Description
• Austin Heart is the largest cardiology group in Central Texas with 45 physicians, 50 APP's and 245 employees.
• We have been serving the community for over 25 years in our 14 full time offices covering a service area of the size of the state of Maryland.
• We have a mature, robust structural program, cardiac MR and adult congenital, in addition to an active LVAD/ECMO and advanced heart failure program. Austin Heart offers comprehensive clinical services including a strong research program.
• Heart Hospital of Austin, which is part of St. David's HealthCare, is a 72-bed hospital and one of the highest-performing cardiovascular facilities in the nation, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease.
• It features a comprehensive 24-hour emergency department; an advanced Executive Wellness Program; six operating rooms (ORs), including three hybrid ORs; three catheterization labs; and electrophysiology services.
