Porter Role at Willow Bridge Property Company, McKinney TX

Porter at Willow Bridge Property Company — McKinney, TX Founded in 1965 by Mack Pogue and headquartered in Dallas, Willow Bridge Property Company manages more than 230,000 apartment homes across 29 states. The firm is currently hiring a Porter for its McKinney, TX community — someone who brings initiative, integrity, and a collaborative spirit to the on-site team. This is a full-time role where your daily effort directly shapes the curb appeal and livability of a residential property. What You Will Be Doing As a Porter, you serve as the frontline guardian of the property's exterior image. Each morning begins with a walkthrough to clear litter and confirm the grounds look inviting. From there, your responsibilities span a range of upkeep tasks across common areas and vacant units. Grounds and common areas: Pick up trash, sweep mail rooms, remove dated notices from bulletin boards, and replace lightbulbs in breezeways and shared spaces. Pool and amenity upkeep: Hose down the pool area, straighten chairs, and remove debris to keep recreational spaces presentable. Unit turnovers: Trash out vacant apartments, caulk, test appliances and smoke detectors, clean AC vents, replace filters, and perform light painting as directed. Resident requests: Replace first-floor window screens, install or move appliances, and swap air filters in occupied units on schedule. Team support: Assist the Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Technician with make-ready tasks and other duties as requested. Qualifications You Need Experience: At least one year in a related role. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Physical capability: Able to lift 80–100 lbs on a regular basis. Availability: Willing to be on-call for after-hours emergencies. Driving: A valid driver's license may be required for this role. Soft skills: Strong multitasking, organization, and deadline-driven focus. Benefits and Growth Willow Bridge offers competitive pay along with a benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, and 401(k) coverage. Career development and advancement opportunities are available within an organization of over 5,500 team members nationwide. Tips to Strengthen Your Application Residential property hiring managers value demonstrated reliability, so highlight any prior groundskeeping, janitorial, or unit-turnover experience on your resume — even if it was in hospitality or facilities maintenance rather than apartments specifically. Mention familiarity with basic hand tools, caulking techniques, and filter replacement schedules, since these tasks form the core of your daily routine. If you hold certifications like OSHA 10 or pool maintenance credentials, call those out prominently — they set you apart in property management applicant pools. Emphasize your physical stamina and willingness to be on-call, as supervisors in multifamily housing consistently rank dependable availability as a top hiring factor. This full-time opportunity was posted on October 6, 2026 , with applications accepted through December 6, 2026 . If you are ready to join a company that believes in creating places people want to call home — starting with its own team — this is your moment to step forward. #J-18808-Ljbffr Neolife Updates
