Job Title: ER RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year required in a similar setting License: Valid RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC required Must-Have: - Previous Charge Experience - Patient Ratio Experience - Charting System Experience Description: The position requires an ER Registered Nurse who will work in a short-term acute care facility. This is a Level III Trauma Center. The nurse will be expected to float between various units. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. The expected patient ratio is 1:4. Successful candidates will have experience in various emergency situations, including abdominal pain, trauma, and respiratory conditions. The role involves administering emergency medications and managing acute psychosis and drug overdoses. Skills in central line management, chest tube management, and interpreting arterial blood gases are essential. The nurse will work with a diverse patient age group, including neonates, infants, children, adults, and geriatrics. Collaboration with interdisciplinary support teams is fundamental to patient care. Candidates should be prepared to manage violent behavior and psychiatric holds when necessary. All candidates must provide references covering employment experience within the last three years.
