Project Manager Supervisor

Project Management SupervisorRaymond West is looking for a dynamic Project Management Supervisor to join our Systems Teams! Our Systems and Automation group has the requirement for a Supervisor of Project Management (SUP) to manage and provide leadership to a team of Project Managers (PM). The SUP directs the work of the project managers and project support teams, tracks project schedules, milestones, and timelines for adherence to quality and delivery targets. Provides guidance, training, and resources needed to achieve successful project execution and delivery while enforcing project standards. Additionally, will facilitate problem solving and project resourcing in conformance with Raymond West's Client Support Principles.Raymond West is committed to providing our customers with end-to-end warehouse solutions. Our customers trust us to provide the right supply chain solutions and services to keep their business up and running as well as offering exceptional installation and execution schedules to deliver projects on time and on budget.Duties and Responsibilities:Manage a staff in an assigned area to include planning and assigning projects/tasks to staff, making hiring, separation, and disciplinary recommendations, and conducting performance evaluations.Ensure staff development and coordinate training programs for new staff and identify training needs for current staffProvide leadership for assigned staff.Manage the operational activities within the Systems Allied departmentDevelop organize, implement, and oversee programs, policies, and procedures.Ensure achievement of Systems Allied goalsRender decisions with respect to key department issues impacting overall service and performance.Provide input to senior leadership for annual budgetsDirect and prepare reports for Systems Allied Senior leadershipParticipate in Company or Department projectsEnsure employees and team are following all Company PoliciesWorks closely with other departments and communicate with all levels of employees, customers, and Manufacturers both verbally and in writingDemonstrates drive and initiativeMaintains a professional attitude in all mattersCorrespond with Vendors and respond to inquiries in a timely mannerMust be able to manage time efficientlyResponsible for managing the project management teams.Oversee all Installation projects and special programs that cover all aspects of storage and automation equipment and related services.Directs job progress, controls installation costs and ensures accuracy of completed jobs.Manages the Field Installation Manager(s) who is responsible to schedule projects assigned to our internal installation team.Manages overall operations for Special Programs including installation schedules, vendor contracting, cost accounting and quality control. This also involves timely communications between Sales reps, Sales Coordination, customer contacts and vendors.Completes installation projects while minimizing or eliminating cost overruns.Identifies and presents for discussion all potential job cost savings per project application.Maintains systematic planning and accountability records.Required Skills/Abilities:Excellent Management skillsExcellent Written and verbal communication skillsExcellent Organizational Time Management skillsMust be able to perform duties under minimal supervisionProficient in Microsoft office Suite and similar softwareMust be able to maintain effective working relationships with employees, Co-workers, and Managers in other departmentsMust be willing to work off-hours as specific needs dictate and willing to assume more responsibility as requiredPossess working knowledge of AUTOCAD and Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and Outlook.Be familiar with Seismic design requirements, Conveyor system design and layout, Mezzanine design and layout, Wire Guidance design and layout, Rack and shelving design and layout, to include common industry applications, Dock & Door equipment, and applicationPossess knowledge and understanding of Narrow Aisle, Counterbalance, and IC equipment and aisle requirements.Able to demonstrate competence in application concepts, designs, installations and acceptance of systems according to applicable codes.Be able to implement projects accurately and completely according to proposals and contract acceptance (by others)Be able to exercise rigorous judgment about operational success, costs and hardware.Must be able to manage time effectively.Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Education/Experience:High School Diploma5 years' experience in application design and/ or installation of mechanical structural systems (rack, mezzanine, conveyor, automated storage systems, etc.) or equivalent combination of education and experience.Travel Requirement:25% (10 hours a week)Must be able to be insured by Raymond West.Physical Requirements:Position is Sedentary and desk boundProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focusOccasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlOccasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 poundsPay Range:The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $145,000.
