Job Description The Maintenance Supervisor oversees the repairs and preventive maintenance of equipment, machinery, and buildings. The role develops the Maintenance team through coaching, feedback, and training, initiates, implements, and manages the plant maintenance program based on best practices with an emphasis on planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance. The supervisor is responsible for the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment to mitigate risk. What You’ll Do Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation. Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues. Check electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings to ensure functionality. Manage relationships with contractors and service providers. Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities. Ensure health and safety policies are complied with. Directly supervise employees and work closely with vendors and contractors. Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers and assign duties accordingly. Coordinate, organize, and direct activities of maintenance crews. Assist workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment. Maintain proper inventories of required spares to enable efficient operations. Coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance with a team of mechanical/electrical maintenance staff. Use technical knowledge, equipment documentation, safety procedures, and maintenance schedules to follow, improve, and develop preventive and routine maintenance programs. Devise and implement cost‑saving strategies. Develop and implement methods and procedures designed to eliminate maintenance problems and improve product quality. Perform administrative activities such as scheduling crews, reviewing UltiPro Time and Attendance timecards, completing reports, conducting safety conversations, and complying with other reporting requirements. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of 5 years of supervising maintenance crews in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Experience in planning maintenance operations. Solid understanding of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, etc. Working knowledge of facility machines and equipment. Ability to track activity and report on it. Excellent interpersonal skills, proficiency in written and verbal communication, and good spelling and grammar. Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities. High degree of attention to detail; demonstrates accuracy and self‑directedness. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
