Pay: $75,000 - $85,000 / year + bonus opportunity

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:30 AM-4:30 PM | Fully Onsite

Job Description:

The Commercial Lending Assistant provides administrative, operational, and loan-processing support to commercial lenders throughout the lending lifecycle. This role serves as a key liaison between borrowers, lenders, title companies, appraisers, and internal departments to ensure loans are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support commercial lenders with customer service requests, account maintenance, loan servicing activities, and calendar management.
• Maintain loan files, monitor maturities and past-due items, resolve documentation exceptions, and follow up with customers regarding outstanding requirements.
• Assist with the preparation, collection, and review of underwriting documents, loan disclosures, title work, appraisals, flood certifications, and other due diligence requirements.
• Coordinate loan closings, funding activities, construction draws, and post-closing documentation while serving as a liaison between borrowers and third-party vendors.
• Ensure loan documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with regulatory requirements while assisting with required reporting and administrative functions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent banking or lending experience will be considered.
• 3+ years of commercial lending, loan administration, loan operations, or commercial banking experience.
• Knowledge of commercial real estate (CRE), commercial & industrial (C&I), consumer, and/or small business lending.
• Strong understanding of loan documentation, underwriting support, compliance requirements, financial statements, and credit fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience utilizing loan processing, CRM, or banking systems.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple loan files simultaneously, and excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive financial information with professionalism, confidentiality, and accuracy.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain Notary Public certification.
