Your Impact As An RT At PSC Play a key role in ventilator management, weaning, and respiratory rehabilitation Provide in‑depth respiratory assessments and ongoing evaluations Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing, and interdisciplinary care teams Support children and families through long‑term progress and meaningful outcomes Help shape individualized care plans with real autonomy and clinical voice What Makes This Role Unique Pediatric focus with medically complex and ventilator‑dependent patients Continuity of care – build real relationships and see long‑term outcomes Autonomy and collaboration within an interdisciplinary model A slower pace than acute care, with deeper clinical engagement Strong clinical standards aligned with AARC and regulatory best practices Why Join PSC Purpose‑driven pediatric work Supportive leadership and interdisciplinary collaboration Stable patient population and meaningful outcomes Competitive pay and benefits (based on eligibility) A role where your expertise is valued, respected, and essential Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive respiratory and ventilator assessments Evaluate weaning potential and respiratory rehabilitation opportunities Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized respiratory care plans Initiate and manage ventilator weaning protocols per physician orders Administer prescribed respiratory medications and treatments Perform scheduled and PRN respiratory interventions Monitor labs, clinical indicators, and ventilator parameters within scope of practice Document care clearly and concisely, including ventilation checks every 12 hours per PSC policy Maintain accurate progress notes, evaluations, and discharge summaries Communicate clinical findings and recommendations to physicians and interdisciplinary team members Educate families, caregivers, and staff on respiratory equipment and procedures Assist with in‑service training and onboarding education for staff Ensure safe, cost‑effective use of respiratory equipment and supplies Qualifications Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy required (Bachelor’s preferred) Active, unencumbered Pennsylvania Respiratory Therapist license RRT or CRT credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care Current CPR (AHA Healthcare Provider) certification Must be at least 21 years of age Pediatric, ventilator, or long‑term care experience preferred (but not required – we will support training) Equal Opportunity Employer Statement WE ARE AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
