Dental Assistant - Expanded Function (Dental Assistant)

Job TitleThe duties include preparing patients for dental treatment, equipment for use by the dentist, and providing chair side assistance to the dentist. The role also involves providing a wide range of dental procedures, ensuring that all work surfaces, equipment, materials, and instruments are properly disinfected/sterilized, maintaining and using automated processing equipment, establishing dental records, and controlling medical records while they are in the dental clinic. Additionally, the position involves scheduling patients, preparing call-outs, supervising inmate patients, maintaining adequate stock levels of expendable supplies, and preparing purchase requests for ordering additional supplies. The incumbent is also responsible for maintaining the security of the institution, with staff correctional responsibilities preceding all other required duties.
