Position Details Title: Field Service Technician I Location: Albany, NY Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility As a Field Service Technician, you will be the first line of support for our customers, delivering solutions and building long‑term relationships. You will handle installation, maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance of electromechanical equipment, including self‑checkout systems and other in‑store technology. Your role requires strong communication, technical troubleshooting, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. Perform customer installation, maintenance, and service calls promptly and effectively. Service electromechanical equipment such as self‑checkout systems within an assigned territory. Execute maintenance, repair, preventive maintenance work, and system overhauls. Basic Qualifications Local candidate to the Albany, NY area. Authorized to work in the United States. At least 18 years of age. Valid driver’s license and driving record that satisfies NCR fleet requirements. Basic PC and electronic skills; familiarity with hardware operating systems. Ability to perform essential functions with or without a reasonable accommodation. Prolonged travel with driving several hours per day. Flexibility for rotating shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Capacity to lift tools, parts, and equipment up to 75lbs unaided and up to 150lbs with assistance. Physical ability to bend, squat, walk, stand, sit, reach, and manipulate objects repetitively. Willingness to be trained to operate small‑scale scissor lifts in retail environments. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with large servers, mainframe computers, and imaging software. A+ Certification, CompTIA Network+ or similar. One or more years of related experience. Benefits Hourly Pay Range: $17.00 to $20.83 (dependent on location and experience). Overtime available at time and a half. 7 paid holidays and 6 floating holidays.
