Job Opportunity – Emergency Department RN – Northern New York

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Northern New York

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, 36 or 48 hours per week (3 or 4 shifts), every other weekend required

Highlights:

• Combined Adult/Pediatric Emergency Department at a Level III Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center
• Diverse case mix including trauma, stroke, behavioral health, burns, and critical care interventions
• Epic EMR with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocols
• Patient ratio experience of 1:5 required; 24-hour orientation provided
• Float opportunities within the facility; interdisciplinary support from respiratory, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
• All patient age groups from neonates to geriatrics

Requirements:

• Active New York RN license required prior to submission
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• Epic charting system experience (required)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• Preferred certifications: CPI, TCAR
• Must reside more than 75 miles from facility location
• Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy, blood product administration, central line care, and critical care procedures
• Competency in managing trauma, stroke, behavioral health, pediatric emergencies, and ventilated patients
• First-time travelers accepted
