Job Description As the Director of Power Infrastructure Construction, you will play a crucial role in defining the delivery strategy for major power infrastructure projects that support data center expansion. Strategically, you will create and enforce construction governance frameworks that enhance scheduling, cost control, risk management, and quality outcomes throughout the portfolio. Collaboration with power developers, contractors, engineering teams, and senior management will be key to providing visibility into project performance and proactively addressing potential risks. Your foresight in identifying challenges and implementing mitigation strategies will be vital to sustaining predictable outcomes in a fast-paced, growth-oriented landscape. Responsibilities Strategic Construction Oversight: Lead the oversight of large-scale power infrastructure projects that enable data center developments, ensuring they align with safety, schedule, cost, quality, and operational performance objectives. Organizational Leadership & Team Development: Build and nurture a high-performing team of construction managers and technical experts dedicated to expanding power infrastructure efforts. Establish clear roles, accountability, performance expectations, and career advancement opportunities. Construction Governance & Standards: Create and implement enterprise-wide construction management standards focused on safety, quality, scheduling, cost control, and reporting. Ensure these standards are applied consistently across all projects and refine them for better predictability. Portfolio Schedule Strategy: Provide oversight on project schedules, identify potential risks and resource challenges, and implement strategies to safeguard critical milestones and development timelines. Financial Oversight & Commercial Strategy: Manage portfolio budgets, forecasts, and change processes, directing financial performance and risk management to ensure disciplined capital allocation. Enterprise Risk Leadership: Oversee the identification and evaluation of significant construction risks, establishing structured management frameworks and ensuring timely escalations and mitigation plans. Quality & Technical Assurance: Set governance for quality assurance and control in power infrastructure projects and ensure compliance with design standards and operational readiness. Safety Leadership: Promote a robust safety culture across all construction activities, establishing compliance expectations and holding stakeholders accountable to the highest standards. Executive Stakeholder Alignment: Act as the key liaison between the organization and stakeholders, facilitating guidance and alignment across teams to guarantee cohesive project delivery. Field Engagement & Accountability: Maintain an active presence on-site to reinforce accountability for safety, schedule adherence, and quality outcomes through direct engagement. Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Initiate and drive initiatives to enhance power infrastructure projects by identifying gaps, leveraging lessons learned, and applying best practices and new technologies. Scalable Program Growth: Develop strategies to augment construction capabilities to meet the needs of multi-campus and multi-region expansion, ensuring readiness to address growing demands and complexities. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. A minimum of 10 years in power infrastructure construction management, with significant experience on large-scale, mission-critical projects. Proven record in leading high-performing construction teams in complex, multi-project settings. Solid understanding of enterprise construction governance, including scheduling, financial oversight, risk management, quality assurance, and safety protocols. Demonstrated strategic direction provision across multiple projects while maintaining executive visibility on costs, schedules, and risks. Excellent communication skills and executive presence, capable of influencing internal stakeholders, developers, and senior management. Strong leadership and decision-making abilities, adept at navigating complex construction challenges and achieving organizational alignment. Proven effectiveness in managing cross-functional teams and external partnerships in fast-growing environments.
