Key Qualifications:
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychologist endorsement required
- Experience or comfort working with PreK-8th grade students; specific grade/caseload to be determined
- Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred
- Strong communication, assessment, and collaboration skills
- Flexibility to accommodate changing needs and a positive approach to solving student challenges
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for students across all grade levels
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to implement effective interventions
- Lead and participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
- Assist in developing behavior management and academic support plans
- Engage in crisis intervention and provide counseling as needed
- Maintain clear documentation and ensure compliance with state and district regulations
This contract position covers a full academic year (August through May), with a full-time schedule of 35-37.5 hours per week. While the caseload and grade levels will be determined based on district needs, candidates must be open to working with any PreK-8 population.
