• Weekend Coverage: Required; 6-8 weekend shifts per 13-week contract
• Call: Required, with a 30-minute response time
• Floating: As needed
• Charting: Epic experience strongly preferred

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of recent Operating Room nursing experience
• Level II trauma experience required; Level I trauma experience preferred
• Previous travel RN experience required
• PA or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required from AHA or ARC
• Strong Epic experience preferred
• Must be able to work independently in multiple surgical specialties, including robotics, orthopedics, general surgery, GYN, urology, bariatrics, ENT, plastics, vascular, thoracic, and trauma
• Proficiency with the Da Vinci Xi surgical system required; familiarity with the DV5 robot is a plus
• Ability to scrub and circulate preferred
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced general OR that excludes open heart and neurosurgery

Responsibilities

• Support a busy general OR with a daily surgical volume of 50-60 cases
• Scrub and/or circulate across a broad range of procedures
• Assist with robotic, orthopedic, general, GYN, urology, bariatric, ENT, plastics, vascular, thoracic, and trauma cases
• Provide safe, efficient intraoperative nursing care in collaboration with the surgical team
• Maintain readiness for call shifts, weekend coverage, holidays as needed, and floating within scope
• Work independently while maintaining strong attention to patient safety, sterile technique, and surgical workflow
• Use Epic documentation accurately and efficiently
• Adapt quickly to unit expectations, scheduling needs, and case mix changes
