ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

Schedule/Hours: 8am to 1pm - Days may vary

This position is responsible for:


Cleans and maintains the buildings and grounds to ensure the neatness and cleanliness daily.


Key Responsibilities:


Custodial Duties (85%)


Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms; cleans sink and toilets; polishes mirrors, replenishes supplies


Sweeps, vacuums, mops and waxes floor; and sweep sidewalks


Cleans windows, dust and polishes furniture and fixtures


Cleans kitchen and dining area, washes dishes, cleans and defrosts refrigerator, cleans stoves and ovens. (as needed)


Washes, folds and stores laundry and lines


Empties trach cans regularly, collects trash from grounds


Maintenance: (10%)


Assists in monitoring light fixtures to ensure all light bulbs are in working order; replaces light bulbs, as needed


Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Stocks and sort pantry items
• Assists in meeting rooms; sets up tables and chairs; puts ice in glasses and sets out drinks.
• Work is performed in a typical office environment with exposure to outdoor temperatures, dirt, dust, and unpleasant sights and odors
• Work requires driving a vehicle daily with exposure to the outdoors, where there are physical discomforts associated with changes in weather such as rain, cold, snow, heat, or pains related to noise, dust, dirt.
• Ability to meet attendance requirements
• Ability to read, write and communicate in the English language
• Ability to exert the physical energy required to perform housekeeping and minor maintenance work
• Work requires the ability to lift and carry and push/pull light (less than 25 lbs.) materials, supplies, and equipment. Light mobility: duties are usually performed by a combination of standing, walking and primarily sitting.

Other Responsibilities (5%)


Opens/closes building as scheduled; raises and lowers all flags daily; displays unique signs as needed.


Assists in public in unloading and carrying donations


Assists in performing building maintenance and repair work


Assists in performing groundskeeping work


Assists in performing housekeeping work at lodge/shelter

• No formal education is required

• Six Months of experience performing general housekeeping duties

• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
