Cardiovascular Ultrasound Tech II (ECHO)- OP, Per Diem, Morristown

Responsibilities Perform comprehensive ultrasound examinations following established protocols for verification, planning, setup, execution, and reporting. Verify patient identity, provide instructions, and ensure patient education, cooperation, and safety during procedures. Assist in continuing quality assurance and performance improvement activities. Complete clerical tasks, record all testing information accurately and promptly, and report critical results as per policy. Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times. Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and other center personnel; keep a pleasant and informative manner. Make recommendations to supervisors regarding duties, policies, and procedures. Promote teamwork by showing motivation, enthusiasm, accountability, and problem solving in challenging situations; seek guidance when appropriate. Maintain work area cleanliness; clean patient areas after each use, assist with equipment maintenance and infection control; manage lab opening/closing procedures if required. Identify personal learning needs, attend in‑services, labs, departmental meetings; suggest improvements to techniques and processes. Position Qualifications High School Graduate or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited CVT school with a focus on echocardiography (CAAHEP accredited preferred). Registry through CCI or ARDMS. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; basic computer proficiency. Echo Sonographer II level: includes skills of Sonographer Level 1+, Strain & Pedoff, Basic 3D, Stress Echo. Vascular Tech II qualifications: 1+ years of venous insufficiency and/or arterial duplex and/or vein mapping +/- radials. Certificates: CVT PACT, IAC ASE Member, Attends Echo Conference, Preceptor, SVU member.
