- Executing thorough patient evaluations, requesting diagnostic examinations, and developing tailored care plans
- Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic conditions in partnership with physicians or independently, depending on credentialing
- Providing education to patients and their families regarding health maintenance, disease management, and preventive care
- Prescribing medications and therapies as per scope of practice
- Engaging in follow-up care and chronic disease management
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to guarantee comprehensive, holistic patient care
- Ensuring accurate and detailed documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Graduation from a recognized Nurse Practitioner program
- Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in Louisiana
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or comparable certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or a willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Exceptional clinical judgment combined with a compassionate approach
- Prowess in conveying information to patients, families, and healthcare colleagues

- Familiarity with EMR systems and comfort with telehealth technologies
