Key Responsibilities

• Executing thorough patient evaluations, requesting diagnostic examinations, and developing tailored care plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic conditions in partnership with physicians or independently, depending on credentialing
• Providing education to patients and their families regarding health maintenance, disease management, and preventive care
• Prescribing medications and therapies as per scope of practice
• Engaging in follow-up care and chronic disease management
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to guarantee comprehensive, holistic patient care
• Ensuring accurate and detailed documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)

Educational Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from a recognized Nurse Practitioner program

Required Certifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in Louisiana
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or comparable certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or a willingness to obtain within 90 days)
