Automation Engineer

**Compensation:** $78,000 – $112,000 / year

**Responsibilities:**

* Design and implement automations for invoice intake, OCR, normalization, and approval routing
* Build provisioning and order-management workflows that span vendor portals and internal systems
* Develop reusable connectors for carrier portals, ERPs (NetSuite, SAP), and ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira)
* Instrument every workflow with structured logging, retries, dead-letter handling, and SLOs
* Partner with operations leads to translate manual playbooks into auditable software
* Maintain automation libraries, code review standards, and runbooks

**Requirements:**

* 3+ years of professional experience building production automations or RPA workflows
* Strong Python skills; comfortable with REST APIs, async I/O, and SQL
* Hands-on experience with at least one RPA platform (UiPath, Power Automate, Automation Anywhere) or workflow orchestrator (Airflow, Temporal, Prefect, n8n)
* Comfortable with Git-based development, code review, and CI/CD pipelines
* Excellent written communication for runbooks and design docs
* US work authorization required; able to overlap 4 hours/day with US Eastern Time

**Nice to have:**

* Experience working with telecom or IT vendor billing data
* Exposure to document AI / IDP (Azure Document Intelligence, AWS Textract, Google Document AI)
* Background in finance, AP automation, or procurement systems
* Familiarity with low-code platforms (Power Automate Cloud, Make, Zapier) for rapid prototyping
