Duration: 8 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | 3 Nights/Week | 36 Hours/Week
Pay: $50 – $59/hr

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Neonatal ICU (NICU) to provide specialized nursing care to premature and critically ill newborns in a high-acuity NICU setting.

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required.

• NICU/Neonatal Intensive Care Unit experience required.

• Active NRP certification required prior to start.

• Current BLS certification required prior to start.

• RNC certification preferred.

• Experience caring for premature infants strongly preferred.

• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility.

• Active driver's license required with submission.

• Strong neonatal assessment and critical-thinking skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to premature and critically ill infants in the NICU.

• Monitor neonatal patients and assess changes in condition.

• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.

• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.

• Monitor vital signs, respiratory status, cardiac status, and other clinical indicators.

• Provide appropriate interventions based on neonatal assessments.

• Assist with procedures and treatments appropriate to NICU patients.

• Collaborate with neonatologists, physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals.

• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in the electronic medical record.

• Communicate patient status and changes in condition to the healthcare team.

• Provide education and support to parents and families regarding neonatal care.

• Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and hospital policies.

• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and emergency situations.

• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for newborn patients.
