Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Day shift - 3x12 Hour (07:00 - 19:30)

Job Description

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing comprehensive and compassionate care to mothers and newborns during the labor and delivery process. The RN will facilitate high-risk antepartum and intrapartum care, assist in C-sections, and provide postpartum education and support.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor labor and delivery processes
• Provide care for high-risk obstetrical patients
• Perform sterile vaginal exams and assist with deliveries
• Ensure effective communication with the healthcare team
• Conduct discharge planning and education for new parents
• Utilize telemetry for cardiac monitoring and interpretation

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery
• Current NY RN License in hand
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate
• Experience with Allscripts charting system preferred
