Travel Radiation Therapist

American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with California RTT license and 3+ years of Radiation Oncology experience for a hospital-based day shift assignment.

Details:

• Hospital-based Radiation Oncology department
• 5x8hr day shifts, Monday through Friday, with a 0700-0800 start time
• Performs patient setup and CT scans for radiation therapy treatment planning as needed
• Uses Varian TrueBeam and/or MOSAIQ systems preferred
• Uses MOSAIQ for electronic medical records
• Facility has access to up to 36 hours of call-off during the assignment

Hours per week: 40

Hours per shift: 8

Requirements:

• Active California RTT license required, if applicable
• Active ARRT certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 3 years of Radiation Oncology experience required
• Experience with Varian TrueBeam and/or MOSAIQ preferred
• Ability to properly setup and align patients using various imaging techniques for radiation therapy delivery
• Ability to assess patient status during direct interaction and make appropriate referrals to healthcare team members

Additional Information:

• Prepares for treatment delivery including chart/film checks, room setup, calculations, and treatment calendar programming
• Works closely with other radiation therapists and team members to complete additional tasks as needed
• Collaborates within a multidisciplinary radiation oncology team
