We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Receptionist to support front-desk operations in Lansing, Michigan. This Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming environment, managing incoming communications, and keeping daily office activities organized. The person in this role will serve as a key point of contact for visitors and callers while helping maintain a clean and orderly workspace. On-Site 8:30am-12pm; 1pm-3pm

Responsibilities:

• Welcome visitors, respond to general inquiries, and ensure a positive front-office experience for guests and staff.

• Manage a multi-line phone system by answering inbound calls promptly, directing them to the appropriate contacts, and taking accurate messages when needed.

• Monitor the reception area throughout the day to keep it organized, presentable, and ready for daily business activities.

• Provide part-time front-desk coverage while maintaining consistent communication and dependable support during scheduled hours.

• Handle routine administrative tasks such as logging messages, updating basic records, and assisting with general office coordination.

• Support day-to-day facility upkeep by helping with light janitorial duties to maintain a clean and well-organized environment.

• Prior experience in a receptionist, front-desk, or customer-facing office support role.
• Ability to operate a multi-line switchboard or phone system with confidence and accuracy.
• Strong verbal communication skills and a detail-oriented telephone manner when handling inbound calls.
• Comfortable working independently in a part-time contract role with reliable attendance.
• Organized approach to managing visitor interactions, messages, and routine office tasks.
• Willingness to assist with light cleaning or janitorial responsibilities as part of daily office support.
