Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Carolina Smiles Family Dentistry Schedule: 4 days/week | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM Pay: $28–$32/hour Love Dentistry? Love Making Patients Feel Comfortable? EFDA Certification and N₂O certification are required. We’re open to all experience levels, but 1+ year of dental assisting experience is preferred. What You’ll Do Welcome, prepare, and care for patients throughout their visit Assist the dentist with 4-handed dentistry and expanded functions Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, materials, and equipment Take and develop dental radiographs as permitted by certification Perform expanded-function duties within your scope of practice Monitor and assist with N₂O sedation Sterilize instruments and maintain excellent infection-control standards Provide post-op instructions and help patients feel confident about their care Keep operatories clean, organized, stocked, and ready to go Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation Support the team with lab work and other clinical tasks as needed What We’re Looking For N₂O certification — required Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification — required 1+ year of dental assisting experience preferred, but all experience levels are welcome to apply Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, sterilization, and infection control Excellent communication and patient-care skills Reliable, organized, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment A positive, team-first attitude Experience with Eaglesoft is a plus Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required Why You’ll Love It Here 4-day workweek $28–$32/hour 401(k) matching Health, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance Paid time off Paid holidays Employee perks & discounts A supportive team that values great patient care and a great work environment #J-18808-Ljbffr Carolinasmilesfamilydentistry
