Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a full-service OR environment with 19 suites handling approximately 55–60 cases per day
• Support a broad range of surgical specialties including orthopedic, neuro, cardiac, thoracic, and robotic procedures (excluding major pediatrics, transplants, and C-sections in the main OR)
• Participate in on-call rotation approximately every 7th weekend; specialty call (ortho/neuro or cardiac/thoracic) assigned only within the nurse's verified competency
• Rotate holiday coverage in coordination with permanent staff
• Scrubbing preferred but not required; must maintain basic competency across nearly all surgical services
• Adhere to a 30-minute call response time requirement

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum 2–3 years of Operating Room nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR
• Must reside within 75 miles of facility (driver's license address verified at submission)
• Skills checklist must accurately reflect experience; any skill rated a 3 must demonstrate true proficiency

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience scrubbing in addition to circulating roles
• Familiarity with robotic-assisted surgical procedures
• Background in orthopedic, neuro, cardiac, or thoracic surgical specialties
