Job Description As a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) at BioLife Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd., you will support plasma center operations by determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results, and providing medical support under guidance of the Center Manager and Center Physician. How you will contribute Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of serological protein electrophoresis (SPE). Evaluate donor reactions at the facility and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including coordination with the Center Physician and donor transport to emergency care. Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or guidance on medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility. Support the Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and determine if further evaluation is required by occupational health or ER, following EHS guidance. Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations of pandemic threats in the community. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, including a graduate degree from a recognized nursing program with state requirements. Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned (EMT-Paramedic). Current CPR and AED certification. Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy. Completion of FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting. Compensation and Benefits Hourly wage range: $25.60 – $35.20 (USA – ND – Bismarck).
