About the Position

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuroscience / Stepdown – Tennessee

Start Date: October 1, 2026

Location: Nashville, Tennessee

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Weekend shifts required; experienced nurses eligible to float after orientation

Highlights:

• 30-bed neuroscience unit with 22 acute care beds and 8 stepdown beds
• Patient ratios: 6:1 on acute care, 4:1 on neuro stepdown
• Equipment and case mix includes stroke care, cardiac drips, Vapotherm, BiPap, trachs, high-flow oxygen, chest tubes, and various IV drips
• Electronic medical record system: Meditech
• Supportive staffing model with RN Charge Nurse, 1-2 techs, and unit secretary
• Excellent stepping stone for nurses pursuing critical care/ICU careers

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Tennessee (or eligibility)
• BLS certification required for all positions
• ACLS certification required for Neuro Stepdown
• Strong nursing skills and time management for acute care positions
• Stepdown experience preferred for Neuro Stepdown positions
• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
