Duties

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Upsell menu items including specialty cocktails, wines, and premium spirits to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards
• Process cash and credit card transactions accurately, including sales transaction processing and cash handling
• Assist with food preparation, beverage service, and bussing tables to ensure smooth operations
• Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate seating and manage guest flow effectively
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment adhering to food safety regulations and sanitation standards
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine, spirits, and menu items based on guest preferences
• Handle guest inquiries professionally, fostering positive guest relations and ensuring memorable experiences

Requirements

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
• Strong knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine knowledge, and drink presentation
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell effectively and build rapport with guests
• Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
• Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards in the food industry
• Experience with reservation systems like OpenTable is preferred
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a lively restaurant atmosphere
