P.T. Services Rehabilitation, Inc. is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team and provide high-quality rehabilitative care in the outpatient clinical setting within the Mercy Hospital Campus in Defiance, OH.

This Full-Time position offers flexibility and the opportunity to work in diverse clinical environments to help patients restore mobility, improve strength, and enhance overall function. While this position is primarily outpatient services, some acute care coverage may be included on an as needed basis.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Associate's Degree is Phsyical Therapy Assisting or related field

Current State of Ohio Physical Therapist Assistant License (REQUIRED)

CPR certification


Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively in both outpatient and acute care settings.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans.

Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional mobility activities.

Monitor patient progress and report changes to supervising Physical Therapist.

Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety techniques.

Maintain accurate documentation of treatments and patient responses.

Ensure compliance with state regulations, facility policies, and ethical standards.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient care goals.

Experience in outpatient orthopedic and hospital-based rehabilitation.

Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Knowledge of EPIC is a plus but NOT required!

Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.

Ability to assist with patient transfers and mobility.

Frequent standing, walking, and occasional lifting of equipment or patients.
