Description

Job Purpose: The Donut Fryer at Hugo's Family Marketplace is responsible for preparing and frying donuts according to established recipes and quality standards. This role ensures the production of high-quality donuts by maintaining fryer temperatures, cooking times, and adhering to food safety regulations. The Donut Fryer plays a critical role in maintaining cleanliness, managing inventory, and assisting in meeting production schedules. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and fry donuts according to recipes and quality standards. Monitor and maintain fryer temperatures and cooking times to ensure product consistency. Uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards in the work area. Portion, shape, and decorate donuts as required. Restock ingredients and supplies to ensure continuous production. Adhere to food safety and health regulations consistently. Manage inventory and control waste to optimize resource use. Assist in meeting production schedules efficiently. Operate fryers and bakery equipment safely and effectively. Follow recipes accurately and ensure product quality. Communicate effectively with team members and management. Assist with inventory and supply management tasks as needed.

Qualifications

Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent. May hire without a diploma if the candidate has relevant on-the-job training or food service experience. Formal culinary education is usually not required. Required Experience: Ability to follow instructions accurately. Experience working in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to maintain food safety standards. Preferred Experience: Some experience in food preparation, frying, or bakery work. Required Skills and Abilities: Proficient in operating fryers and bakery equipment safely. Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the work area. Capable of working efficiently in fast-paced environments. Physical ability to lift 25–50 lbs, stand for long hours, and perform tasks involving bending and reaching. Ensure product quality through attention to detail. Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members. Assist with inventory and supply management to meet production schedules.
