Attorney - Workers Compensation

Job Overview A law firm seeks an experienced Attorney specializing in Workers' Compensation to join their Kansas City, MO office. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of client representation in workers' compensation cases, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Duties Proactively communicate with clients to provide updates and claim status. Interact and negotiate with insurance companies on behalf of clients. Draft case materials, correspondence, pleadings, and settlement agreements. Ensure accuracy of all documents prepared by you and your team. Represent clients at hearings, depositions, mediations, and other proceedings. Provide direction and supervision to non-attorney staff. Requirements Active Missouri Bar license. Eligibility to obtain a Kansas Bar license (UBE score or reciprocity). Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, SharePoint). Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Active Missouri Bar license.
