Summary: Plans, coordinates and provides nursing care for residents and provides supervision to CNA's. Scope of work may be modified by state specific rules under the Nurse Practice Act. Essential Functions Initiates and leads team conferences in the development of individualized nursing care plans; Assess and document the resident's condition and nursing needs; Accurately and promptly implements physician orders; Assigns nursing care to team members in accordance with the resident's needs and the team member's qualifications and capabilities; Supervises, directs and evaluates LPN's and CNA's; Administers medications, starts IVs and performs treatments for assigned residents and documents as required by Affinity Healthcare, local, state and federal regulations; Reports and records pertinent observations, participates in Medicare/Care planning meeting and completes associated documentation within electronic medical record; Coordinates nursing care of residents when scheduled for therapy or procedures; Assists with or initiates emergency measures for residents; Participates in orientation and in-service training; Ensures that supplies are utlized appropriately and that equipment is in good working order (clean and maintained in a safe manner); Supervises nursing unit, which includes scheduling, directing nursing staff to the extent permitted by state practice act; Other duties as assigned. #J-18808-Ljbffr
