Human Resources Specialist (Bilingual in Korean & English)

Summary:

The HR specialist is responsible for supporting day-to-day human resources operations across multiple functional areas, including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and performance management. This role serves as a key point of contact for employees and managers, ensuring HR processes run smoothly and align with company policies and employment laws.

Primary Duties: 

Employee Relations & HR Support

· Serve as a trusted resource for employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and workplace concerns

· Support employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution

· Promote a positive and compliant workplace culture.

Recruitment & Onboarding

· Coordinate full-cycle recruitment activities, including job postings, screening, interviews, and offer letters

· Manage new hire onboarding and orientation to ensure a smooth employee experience

Benefits & Payroll Support

· Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and employee inquiries

· Support payroll processes by maintaining accurate employee data and resolving discrepancies

Compliance & HR Administration

· Maintain employee records in HRIS systems and ensure data accuracy

· Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws

· Assist with audits, reporting, and required HR documentation

Performance Management & Development

· Support performance review cycles and employee development initiatives

· Assist with training coordination and policy implementation

Qualifications:

- 2–5 years of experience in a Human Resources role (generalist experience preferred)

- Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices

- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel

- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

- Bilingual in Korean and English (Preferred)

Work environment and other requirements:

The work environment is a non-smoking office environment. No heavy lifting is required. Mostly sitting with computer and phone usage. Accommodation can be made for handicapped employees. Travel only on an “as needed” basis.
