Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift hospital position requiring RRT certification and at least 1 year of experience.

Details

• Hospital-based Respiratory Therapy unit
• Night shift, 3x12 schedule (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• 13-week assignment
• Weekend hours as needed
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Current Missouri state license required if applicable
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification through the NBRC
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (may be obtained upon hire)
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) required
• RRT-ACCS preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in respiratory therapy
• Graduate from an Accredited College Program in Respiratory Care
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Prior adult intensive care and emergency department experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to be flexible and adaptable

Additional Information

• Perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy according to physicians' orders
• Determine effectiveness of therapy and adjust care as needed
• Provide ventilator support during cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• Maintain life support equipment in intensive care units and other designated areas
• Black scrub color required
• Up to 5 days of requested time off allowed, must be made up during the assignment
• No gaps in employment exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
• Local candidates considered, though a radius rule may apply to local facility contract restrictions
