Overview
Travel RN — Med/Surg Telemetry (MS/Tele) | Massena, NY, US
Starting 07/27/2026 for several weeks on Days (12-hour shift, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM). Weekly pay: $1,756–$1,856 per week. No guaranteed hours. Unit: Medical/Surgical with Telemetry monitoring in a community setting. This is a temporary, travel assignment.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, patient-centered care to adults and geriatrics on a medical/surgical unit with telemetry monitoring.
- Monitor telemetry rhythms, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond to abnormal findings; participate in Rapid Response or Code teams as needed.
- Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies; establish and maintain peripheral IVs and manage lines (PICC or central line care where applicable).
- Manage common Med/Surg/telemetry diagnoses (e.g., COPD, pneumonia, cellulitis, chest pain rule-out, non-specific abdominal pain) and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Collaborate with PT, Respiratory, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary to optimize patient flow; document accurately in Epic.
- Adhere to isolation precautions and PPE protocols; support a safe care environment on the unit.
- May float to related units as needed and participate in ongoing orientation or training modules.

Requirements
- Active New York RN license in hand to submit
- BLS and ACLS certifications (compatible with RN practice)
- Epic charting experience required (knowledge of Epic modules may be required pre-start)
- 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience preferred; travel experience required
- Ability to work in a 25-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit with daily census around 20
- Telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, and non-invasive airway management skills
- Knowledge of PPE/infection prevention and isolation protocols
- Fluency in standard nursing documentation and care planning
