Pharmacy Technician in Dallas, TX

A full-time Pharmacy Technician position is available in a closed-door pharmacy embedded within a behavioral health hospital in Dallas, TX. This contract-to-hire role requires a reliable candidate to support a high-volume setting with a daily script count of 350-400. The pharmacy specializes exclusively in behavioral health medications, operating similarly to a long-term care (LTC) model with limited walk-in clinic support.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, offering a stable, consistent workweek. The successful candidate will work alongside one pharmacist and two pharmacy technicians, filling an urgent vacancy that has been open for three months.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Accurately process prescriptions focusing on behavioral health medications
Operate within an automated, high-efficiency workflow without vaccine administration
Collaborate with pharmacy and hospital staff to ensure seamless medication fulfillment
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a sensitive healthcare environment

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Valid Texas Pharmacy Technician License (required)
Minimum of 1-2 years of recent pharmacy technician experience; retail experience is highly valued
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented setting
Reliability and strong work ethic are crucial due to prior behavioral challenges in staffing
