Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: CVPICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night and Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3 years in high acuity hospital, strong Pediatric ICU experience, and at least 1 year of CV experience required License: RN license required Certifications: AHA BLS and PALS required Must-Have: Strong Pediatric ICU experience Telemetry test required prior to start Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join a highly skilled and committed multidisciplinary team. The nurse will provide family-centered care to critically ill or injured children and their families. Candidates will care for patients with a wide variety of medical and surgical problems. Problems include acute head injuries, critical neurological disorders, pulmonary diseases, cardiac anomalies, organ transplantation, and multi-system organ failure. Experience with telemetry and monitoring is required. Travelers will be required to pass a telemetry test prior to start. Preferred candidates will have charge experience and be comfortable floating to other units. An understanding of advanced pediatric care equipment and procedures is necessary. This role involves working in a mixed unit with both CVPICU and PICU patients. Candidates should have experience in high acuity hospital settings. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays is required.
