Air Export Agent III

AIT Worldwide Logistics is seeking an Air Export Agent III that will coordinate the day-to-day export of international freight forwarding shipments into and out of the USA across all modes of international transportation based on customer requests. The Air Export Agent's primary focus is providing a high-level of operational excellence and a world-class customer service experience to all customers.

Responsibilities

1. Receive and validate customer order (Cargowise Org, Credit, Export POA, Restricted Commodities, Cargo Value, Embargoes/Sanctions, Additional Services, Documentation Requirements, Incoterms)
2. Identify best routing / transit option per customer request/SOP
3. Anticipate and secure quotation from vendors for all potential order costs
4. Issue customer or overseas office/agent quotation & confirm acceptance
5. Perform TSA Known Shipper Check
6. Secure booking from Airline
7. Dispatch inland carriage with subcontractor if applicable
8. Accrue for all costs in CargoWise and perform initial profitability check
9. Issue customer booking confirmation
10. Confirm timely delivery/receipt of cargo and update system milestone
11. Receive and validate customer documents
12. Ensure receipt of AES Data elements in writing from USPPI (if applicable)
13. File AES according to USPPI instructions (if applicable)
14. Receive and validate master air waybill
15. Track and confirm flight departure and update system milestone
16. Issue AIT House air waybill according to customer & destination requirements
17. Upload all documents to edocs in CargoWise
18. Send Pre Alert to overseas office/agent
19. Confirm final costs, ensuring all are accrued and final profitability check complete
20. Issue Invoice to customer/overseas office as required
21. Distribute documents as per shipper requirement / SOP
22. Manage customer reporting and/or additional system milestones as required

Other Skills We Hope to See:

• Associates Degree or equivalent
• 4-6 Years Freight Forwarding experience preferred
• Dangerous Goods Certification preferred
• Certified CargoWise Specialist CCO required
• Certified CargoWise Specialist, CCS preferred
• Proficiency Knowledge of CargoWise
• Advanced math & geography skills.
• Ability to analyze numerical data and understand components, relationships, find patterns and draw conclusions
• Ability to recommend solutions to common problems.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Advanced knowledge of freight movement, air vendors, air space configurations, container loads, special loading constraints, regulatory requirements, pricing, service routings, AIT product offerings, equipment types, incoterms, and shipment profitability.
• Intermediate knowledge of country regulations and AIT policies & procedures that minimize risks to the customer and company.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide using units of currency, weight, volume, and distance measurements.
• Proficiency with using MS Office
• Has substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.
• Read, analyze, and interpret complex procedures/regulations and write correspondence and procedural documents.
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively with a variety of people; can effectively present information in large group settings.
• Responds promptly & professionally to customer needs and solicits feedback to improve performance.
