It's what we like to call the Power of Merchandise.Duties And ResponsibilitiesReport and drive improvement within the site through the monitoring of the key Industrial Engineering metrics, leveraging automated dashboards and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SQL-based reporting) to provide real-time visibility into performanceDevelop, analyze, and maintain accurate department forecast based on both historical and forecast data, incorporating financial modeling, scenario analysis, and volume-driven cost projectionsSupport BDA by developing a solid process foundation and data integrity to support process improvement through the organization, including the standardization and automation of recurring reports and data pipelinesWork with the facility operations and corporate teams on the definition and delivery of reports and operational queries as needed to support the businessSupport and/or maintain all Industrial Engineering essential duties and responsibilities, including time studies, labor planning, and productivity analysisMaintain and continuously improve existing engineered labor standards while developing and implementing new standards based on time studies, operational data, and evolving process requirements to drive productivity and accuracyStandardize the configuration of the systems used (e.g., Manhattan SCALE, Oracle EBS, IBM Cognos (SCI), Exacta Sentinel, LMS, ADP), while improving reporting consistency and usability across platformsDevelop and maintain the Industrial Engineering succession plan for the siteDevelop and maintain site key process flow charts, incorporating current-state and future-state process mapping to support continuous improvement initiativesPartner with site and corporate leadership to develop, update, and monitor budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment between operational performance, volume trends, and financial targets.Job Skills And TraitsStrong business acumen; particularly in order fulfillment, inventory control and/or distribution, with the ability to connect operational performance to financial impactUnderstanding and application of a broad range of industrial engineering tools (i.e. work measurement, simulation, process mapping, facilities and workstation design, operations research, etc.), with a strong emphasis on applying these tools through data and reporting systemsStrong financial and analytical ability, including experience with forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and cost modelingAbility to learn and become proficient as a Super User level with new software systems, Fulfillment/Distribution applications and processes, including reporting and analytics platformsCoach and mentor the BDA team on Key Metrics, KPI's, and control tools, with an emphasis on building data literacy and self-service reporting capabilitiesAdvanced proficiency with Excel/Power BI/Smartsheet, including complex formulas, Power Query, data modeling, and automation of recurring reporting processesKnowledge of demand forecasting, total cost analysis, and supply chain management fundamentals, with practical application in financial and operational planningStrong process improvement skills, Six Sigma mindset, and demonstrated ability to identify inefficiencies and implement scalable solutionsExcellent communication skills (verbal and written), including the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders5+ years of cumulative Industrial Engineering experience in production, manufacturing, fulfillment, or distribution environmentsProven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and managing continuous improvements and cost reduction programsPrevious systems implements/testing experience, including data validation and reporting alignmentNew building startup and multiple building campus experienceExperience with Manhattan Associates SCALE Cloud WMS, Oracle EBS, and labor and productivity planning applicationsExperience integrating a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and material handling equipment (MHE) systems, with a focus on data flow and reporting consistencyQualificationsBA Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or similarWMS/ERP experience with Manhattan SCALE, Oracle EBS, IBM Cognos (SCI), Exacta Sentinel, LMS, ADPDemonstrated experience in expert manipulation of data to quickly highlight trends and draw accurate conclusions from the data, including building automated reporting solutions and dashboardsSuccessful experience in process improvement initiatives, particularly those driven by data analysis and performance trackingExperience conducting tracking and data analysis, including development of KPIs, scorecards, and executive-level reportingProficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint), Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, and e-mail skills requiredDirect to consumer fulfillment operations/e-commerce industry experienceBDA is a place where creativity, partnership, and customer care come together. If you are hired at BDA, your compensation will be determined based on factors that may include geographic location, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any offer. In the spirit of pay transparency, the range listed is the full base salary range for the role and hiring at the top of the range would not be typical, in order to allow for future salary growth.
