Degree Wellness McKinney is looking for a highly motivated, sales-driven General Manager to lead our studio. This is not a traditional administrative management position. The primary responsibility of this role is to grow our membership base and studio revenue.

We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys selling, talking with customers, following up with leads, asking for the sale, and developing a team that does the same.

If you are uncomfortable with sales, sales goals, following up with prospects, or asking someone to become a member, this position will not be a good fit.

What You'll Own

Membership Sales & Revenue Growth

Membership growth is the #1 priority of this position. You will be expected to personally sell memberships while creating a strong sales culture throughout the studio.

You will:

• Convert first-time guests and prospects into recurring members
• Conduct studio tours and confidently present membership options
• Ask discovery questions to understand each guest's goals and recommend the appropriate services and membership
• Follow up consistently with leads, first-time visitors and former members by phone, text and email
• Re-engage prospects who did not purchase during their initial visit
• Track leads through the entire sales process rather than waiting for customers to come back on their own
• Identify opportunities to upgrade existing customers and increase recurring revenue
• Coach employees on sales conversations, objection handling and closing
• Establish and monitor individual and studio-wide membership sales goals
• Track conversion rates, lead follow-up, new memberships, cancellations and overall recurring revenue
• Develop local partnerships, referral relationships and grassroots opportunities that bring new customers into the studio

Studio Leadership & Operations

You'll also be responsible for the overall customer experience and day-to-day performance of the studio, including managing and developing staff, maintaining scheduling and staffing coverage, ensuring the studio is clean and operating at a high standard, resolving customer issues, supporting member retention, and creating an energetic and welcoming environment.

We expect our General Manager to be highly visible on the floor. This is not an office-based management position . You should know our members, interact with guests and be actively involved in the sales process every day.

Who We're Looking For

The ideal candidate has a strong background in membership sales, fitness, wellness, hospitality or another high-touch consumer sales environment.

Experience at businesses such as Life Time, Orangetheory, Club Pilates, StretchLab, F45, HOTWORX, Restore Hyper Wellness, Pause Studio, boutique fitness, med spas or other membership-based concepts would translate extremely well.

More important than the specific industry is a demonstrated ability to sell recurring memberships and lead other people to sell.

You should be:

• Persistent with lead follow-up without being overly aggressive
• Comfortable asking directly for the sale
• Excellent at building relationships quickly
• Confident discussing pricing and overcoming objections
• Organized and accountable with leads and sales pipelines
• Able to coach employees who aren't naturally strong sellers
• Energetic, personable and comfortable interacting with customers throughout the day
• Motivated by performance-based compensation

How Success Will Be Measured

This is a performance-driven position. Success will be measured heavily by:

New memberships sold • Lead-to-appointment conversion • First-visit-to-membership conversion • Membership retention • Monthly recurring revenue • Overall studio revenue • Lead follow-up performance

We want a manager who looks at those numbers every week and immediately asks, "What can we do to improve them?"
