Financial Manager

Business Manager-part time position. Wanted one individual with experience in the complex world of medical billing and collections to assist in the business model of a single surgeon practice. This single specialty practice uses Athena software that markedly simplifies billing and coding for office visits, clinic procedures and surgeries. 100% of clinic and OR encounters are documented, billed, coded and closed on day of service in this practice. The successful candidate will be very computer literate and have a deep familiarity in CPT and ICD-10 coding, dealing with insurance companies, following accounts receivable, basic accounting principles, as well as tracking payments from patients, government and 3rd party sources and developing long and short term financial reports. Duties would include: -Providing competent tax documentation and assuring ongoing compliance to our CPA firm. -Tracking, trending, following up on and maximizing revenue for surgical procedures performed, clinic procedures and clinic visits. Following AR by service line, CPT code, procedure and correcting deficiencies as well as optimizing profitable areas. -Referring delinquent accounts to collections -Liason with Athena software personnel and our collections firm, as they warehouse our payments. Duties will NOT include personnel, HR, patient experience, inventory management or regulatory compliance outside of billing, coding and collections nuances The job would initially be 100% on site but as maturity and results were consistently demonstrated; some work from home opportunities would be created. Anticipate 10-20 hours a week or work. Pay based on experience. $30-50/hr.
